Dining room part 2 - progress

As you can see from the pictures a lot of progress was made this weekend. The gosh darn red is GONE (almost) and even though it's not done it already looks a billion times better! What little red is left is from the duct work that goes to the upstairs and we are hoping we can float it (just use spackle to make it smooth) instead of having to mess with it. Keeping our fingers crossed on that one!! Going to Lowe's today to pick out paint. We are also considering crown molding. We'll see if we don't pass out from sticker shock. Keeping our fingers crossed on that one too!

Drywall up and already it's better!!

Please disregard the mess in the living room. It's holding everything from the dining room and I wasn't going to clean it all up just to take a picture. I assume you guys won't be offended. That's the next room scheduled for renovation anyway.

In the meantime, I'm home today with Bud. He woke up at 3am throwing up. It's a really fun way to wake up in the middle of the night. I recommend you try it sometime...NOT! Thankfully he contained it mostly to his sheets and just a little on the floor. Even more thankfully we have berber carpets and it hids stains really well. I mean I cleaned everything up, I'm not like Big Daddy and just covered it with newspaper (although at 3am, that did sound like a really good idea) but I'm just saying, throwing up after eating macaroni that night isn't the best for carpets and I'm glad I don't have to resort to newspaper.
